The Westville Volunteer Fire Department is expecting to take delivery of a 2012 Ford F-250 Pick Up the second week of September. The department voted in July to purchase the vehicle to replace the aged and worn out 1996 F-250 Pick-Up (M-179). The new truck will be a four door pickup and be fitted with a plow. The department chose the four door vehicle to help with transporting members to incidents and also use the vehicle to allow members to use to go to training which is offered all around the county.
The new truck, once lettered, lighted and radios installed will be dedicated in honor of Jack Buchanan. Jack was our past chief who was a leader in the fire service not only to our department but also on a county and state level. Jack died in March following a stroke.
